Meet Mike!

Mike Marker is a distinguished leader in organizational development and management consultancy whose impressive career spans several decades. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Walnut Creek, California, Mike's journey to leadership excellence began when he ventured to Utah in 1967 to pursue higher education.

In 1971, Mike earned his bachelor's degree in Organization Behavior from Brigham Young University (BYU), laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors. His commitment to lifelong learning led him to further his education at the prestigious Marriot School of Management at BYU, where he graduated with distinction in 1975.

Mike's dedication to service led him to enlist in the United States Army Reserve (USAR) in 1971, marking the start of a commendable military career. Over six years of service, he rose to the rank of Specialist E5 before his honorable discharge in 1977. Notably, Mike made significant contributions to the Organizational Effectiveness Training Command, pivotal in researching effective leadership practices during the transition to an "all-volunteer" Army.

Transitioning to civilian life, Mike embarked on a noteworthy tenure with Proctor & Gamble, where he served as an executive from 1975 to 1986, honing his skills in management and leadership. Following his tenure at Proctor & Gamble, Mike served as the Director of Training and Organization Development at Libbey-Owens-Ford for three years, further solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader in the corporate world.

In 1999, Mike ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his consultancy firm, where he provided invaluable guidance to numerous organizations seeking to optimize their operational efficiency and foster a culture of growth and innovation.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mike's spirit of community service shines brightly. He volunteered for the 2002 Olympics, contributing to the success of this global event with his dedication and expertise. Additionally, Mike began volunteering in 2002 for the Miss America Organization and completed the training and certification to serve as a judge, contributing his expertise to this reputable, long-standing institution.

Mike resides in Sandy, Utah, with his wife, Susan. Together, they cherish their time with their four children and four grandchildren. In his leisure moments, Mike indulges in his passions for skiing, fly fishing, and traveling, embodying a life rich in professional accomplishment and personal fulfillment.
